While he is clearly filling the role of therapist, there is little to suggest he is of the psychoanalytic school of thought. While he does allow some free-association-like free form responding and the setting of the scene is the quintessential "patient on the couch" setup, his treatment approach seems closer to cognitive-behavioral therapy. Then again, if the goal is achieving "catharsis," a rather Freudian concept, he may indeed be of the psychoanalytic perspective. We simply don't have enough information to go on for such a specific label. That aside, dude's going to lose his license for that kind of clowning. This isn't Mexico--we have laws here, for Christ's sake.
